How it works

Alpha-beta arteether works by:

• Entering malaria-infected red blood cells.
• Reacting with iron inside the malaria parasite.
• Producing harmful free radicals (highly reactive molecules).
• These free radicals damage the parasite’s proteins and cell membranes, killing it.
• As the parasites die, the infection is brought under control and malaria symptoms improve.
