How it works

The two ingredients work together to kill bacteria:

• Cefixime is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from building their protective cell wall.
• Clavulanic acid blocks bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases) that can inactivate certain antibiotics, allowing cefixime to work against a wider range of bacteria.
