How it works

Frusemide works on the kidneys by:

• Blocking salt (sodium) and water reabsorption
• Making the kidneys produce more urine quickly
• This reduces excess fluid in the body

Result:

• Less swelling
• Easier breathing (if fluid was in lungs)
• Lower blood pressure
