How it works

Mixtard contains two types of human insulin in one injection:

• Regular (short-acting) insulin → lowers blood sugar after meals
• NPH (intermediate-acting) insulin → provides longer background blood sugar control

Together, they:

• Reduce high blood sugar throughout the day
• Control both fasting (morning) and post-meal sugar levels
