How it works

The two medicines work together to eliminate malaria parasites:

• Artemether acts rapidly to kill most of the malaria parasites in the blood, helping reduce fever and other symptoms within the first day or two.
• Lumefantrine stays in the body longer and kills the remaining parasites, helping prevent the infection from coming back.
