Important precautions

  • Penicillin allergy: Avoid it if you’ve had allergic reactions to penicillin antibiotics.
  • Complete the course: Don’t stop early even if you feel better.
  • Take on an empty stomach if possible: Usually 30 minutes before food or 2 hours after meals for better absorption.
  • Watch for side effects: Common ones include nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, or mild rash.
  • Seek urgent help if you develop:
    • trouble breathing
    • facial swelling
    • severe rash
    • severe diarrhea

How Ampiclox works

Both medicines kill bacteria by preventing them from forming a proper cell wall. The bacteria then weaken and die, helping clear the infection.
