How it works

Ofloxacin belongs to a group called fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It works by:

• Entering bacterial cells in the eye
• Blocking enzymes (DNA gyrase and topoisomerase)
• Stopping bacteria from multiplying
• Eventually killing the infection

So in simple terms: it stops bacteria from growing and clears the infection.
