How It Works
Frusemide works directly in the kidneys within a specific structure called the Loop of Henle [NHS]. It blocks the reabsorption of sodium, chloride, and potassium from the filtered fluid back into the bloodstream. Because these minerals remain in the kidney tubules, they pull water along with them via osmosis. This results in a rapid increase in urine production, flushing the excess fluid out of your vascular system.
