Zymthrotec works because it combines two medicines that do different jobs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. Diclofenac<\/strong> \u2013 relieves pain and inflammation\n

    • Diclofenac is an NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • It blocks enzymes called COX-1 and COX-2<\/strong>, which the body uses to produce prostaglandins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Prostaglandins contribute to pain, swelling, inflammation, and fever. By reducing their production, diclofenac helps:\n

      • Reduce pain<\/li>\n
      • Decrease swelling and stiffness<\/li>\n

        • While diclofenac reduces pain, it can also lower the prostaglandins that normally protect the stomach lining.<\/li>\n
